Mary & Flora: Mary’s Animal Friends

Mary loves to visit her Granny and Pa who live in an old house in the Lake District with their little tortoiseshell cat called Flora (because the fur on the side of her head is in the shape of a flower). Here, in the first in a series of stories, Mary wonders whether any of her animal friends will say hello to her – but only one of them agrees and becomes Mary’s ‘favourite animal in all the world’.
