The Flora Helvetica has become the standard for plant identification in Switzerland. In addition to the illustrated book, the excursion guide complements the series. This revised and completed second edition, ensures that all vascular plants occurring in Switzerland can be identified with detailed and easy-to-understand identification keys, with great emphasis placed on well-recognizable, field-appropriate characteristics.

For many of the species featured, detailed drawings facilitate the identification. With data on habitat, flowering time and distribution, and illustrated with more than 3000 distribution maps, the most important additional information is obtained in a compact manner.
