Author Biography

Dr C.S.K. Mishra is presently the Professor and Head of the Department of Zoology at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, India. He has been teaching post graduate and undergraduate students for 32 years. His major research interests are eco-toxicology and waste management. He is the author of more than 100 publications, including three books as chief editor and one as co-author. His current research interests include identifying novel biomarkers in earthworms, mine spoil bioremediation and vermitechnology.Dr Suryasikha Samal is presently Visiting Faculty in the Department of Zoology at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, India. Her current research interests include ecotoxicology and early warning biomarkers. She has successfully identified various markers in earthworms for early diagnosis of soil chemical contamination. She has published a number of journal articles, book chapters and review articles.
