Identification Guide to Ireland’s Grasses

A second edition of this nicely produced pocket field guide.

A simplified guide to assist identification of up to 100 Irish species of grasses. Well illustrated with colour photographs throughout, and additional illustrations in both colour and black and white to highlight detail.

Robust format with laminated pages and cover. Spiral bound to ensure the pages will lie flat.

The guide is not a scientific key but a tool to aid identification of Irish grasses, offering two alternative methods to do so. A floristic guide based on features of the inflorescence and a vegetative guide based on features other than flowering material.

All native species and all archeophytes (non native species introduced before 1500) are included as well as the more common neophytes (non native species introduced after 1500) and a few rare casuals.
