Author Biography

Nan-Yao Su (Edited By) Nan-Yao Su is the Distinguished Professor at the University of Florida. He published over 300 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on termite biology and control. His studies on the population ecology and behavior of subterranean termites led to the development of a baiting system for population management of subterranean termite pests. Awards and honors he received include U.S. Secretary of Agriculture's Honor Award, Urban Entomological Award, Distinguished Alumnus of the Year (University of Hawaii), ESA Fellow, Medal of Honor of Entomological Foundation, Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors, and inductee of Florida Inventors Hall of Fame. Chow-Yang Lee (Edited By) Chow-Yang Lee is the Professor and Endowed Presidential Chair in Urban Entomology at the University of California, Riverside, USA. He is internationally known for his research on behavioral, ecological, and physiological adaptations of urban insect pests. He published more than 295 peer-reviewed papers and books and mentored 17 PhD and 32 MS students. Chow-Yang received many accolades, including the Fellow of the Entomological Society of America (2024), Recognition Award in Medical, Urban and Veterinary Entomology (2022) from the Entomological Society of America, and the Arnold Mallis Distinguished Achievement Award in Urban Entomology (2022) from the National Conference on Urban Entomology (USA).
