Book Condition: Good.
Original half black (/dark green?) leather with 5 spine bands and gilt titles on purple label, green textured boards, marbled edges; rebacked with modern blue endpapers. Top and bottom of spine and corners bumped and rubbed with some wear. Internally the leaves are bright and relatively free from foxing, however it is well thumbed throughout and a small number of leaves have been carefully repaired. Overall Good. Photos available on request. Rhinds History of the Vegetable Kingdom is a rare, 19th-century book which was written to help classify plants and provide comprehensive descriptions of leaves, seeds, fruits, flowers, and vegetables. This work is notable for its impressive collection of coloured illustrations.
