Author Biography

Mourad Amer is an Architect, Planner, and Real Estate Developer. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Environmental Design from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt. He has gained experience in scientific publishing as an Author and Guest Editor in several reputable journals with world-renowned publishers. He created IEREK in 2008 to promote the exchange of knowledge between international scholars across different countries and started his own publishing company known as IEREK Press. Mohamed El Kaftangui is an associate professor with over 35 years of experience working in the academic and professional sectors. Graduated from the Superior National School of Architecture of Toulouse in France, Mohamed specializes in environmental design and technology and is responsible for educating sustainable design and building technology on using progressive systems and applications, Mohamed's research focuses on sustainability and environmental design in the Gulf area, this includes collaborations with governmental organizations to propose new building prototypes. Mohamed's background in the industry provides powerful tools in his academic experience. Ibrahim El-Sayed Maarouf is an Associate Professor of Architecture in the Department of Architecture at Alexandria University. From 2012, he was in the Faculty of Architectural Engineering at Beirut Arab University, where he taught architectural design, construction, and history of Islamic architecture, vernacularism, and urban planning. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Architectural Engineering Department at Pharos University, Alexandria. His research covers architectural heritage, urban design, and theory and history of architecture. As a member of the Committee of the Higher Education Development in the Alexandria Region, he participates in academic development programmes. He is a referee for articles in the Architecture and Planning Journal of Beirut Arab University. Through his private practice, he has wide experience in designing projects in the Middle East. Nauman Khalid is a leading expert in food safety and regulatory affairs with extensive experience providing technical assistance to food regulatory bodies and higher education authorities in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He has developed and revised food safety standards and regulations, established Food Quality Control Laboratories, and created comprehensive training programs for food handlers. Dr. Khalid's achievements include formulating the Punjab Pure Food Rules for Packaging and Functional Foods. As a recognized tutor for Highfield in Dubai, he has over a decade of teaching experience in food science and safety. He founded the School of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, and has collaborated with prominent institutions globally, including Deakin University and the University of Tokyo. Sharul Sham Bin Dol is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Assistant Dean for Research and Innovation at Abu Dhabi University, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dr. Sharul Dol received his Ph.D. from the University of Calgary, where he worked on studying a pulsatile flow over a reverse stage using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) under a scholarship from Talisman Energy Inc. Dr. Sharul's primary research interests are in the fundamentals of turbulent flows, unsteady flows, vortex dynamics, and hydrodynamic instability with applications in vehicle aerodynamics, flow assurance, and flows in oil and gas pipeline networks. There is a strong interest in turbulence and renewable energy. These studies provide engineers with insights into the development of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the design and operation of crude oil pipelines, gas turbines, and heat exchangers under highly unsteady flow conditions. He has conducted several industry projects related to unsteady turbulent flows, aerodynamic effects on structures, renewable energy, flow assurance, and oil and gas pipeline hydrodynamics. Dr. Sharul's professional qualifications include Chartered Energy Engineer from the Energy Institute and Chartered Engineer from IMechE.
