C. 1900. Quarter black leather with blue marbled boards; gilt spine titles on green leather label. Binding remains firms and is in lovely crisp and clean condition with the exception of the spine having faded to tan. Marbling to textblock edges. Recent cream endpapers. Internally fairly crisp, clean. A little age toning; library markings to title page, very light creasing to first and last few leaves, a few spots of foxing to the first and last few leaves and the rear of the plates, otherwise almost entirely free from foxing.
