Author Biography
Dr. Sachidanand Singh is the Associate Professor and Head of the Biotechnology Department at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He earned a B.Tech in Biotechnology, an M.Tech in Bioinformatics, and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, with postdoctoral research at Ohio State University’s College of Pharmacy in the USA. Specializing in Plant Biotechnology, Systems Biology, and Drug Design, Dr. Singh has over 12 years of experience in research and academia. His career includes a decade with the School of Biotechnology and Health Sciences at Karunya University, Tamil Nadu. In 2018, he also served as a Statistical Genetics Consultant for Ohio State University’s College of Pharmacy. Dr. Singh has published over 38 peer-reviewed research articles and led significant projects, including a SERB-funded project from the Government of India and two university-sponsored research grants. Dr. Singh has guided 36 B.Tech and 10 M.Tech projects, and currently supervises six Ph.D. students, with five Ph.D. scholars having completed their research under his guidance. His work emphasizes Herbal Products, Drug Design, and the integration of Network Biology, highlighting his commitment to advancing biotechnology and bioinformatics. Dr. Parul Johri is currently working as a faculty in the Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Divyangjan Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Her education comes from an engineering background, B. Tech in Biotechnology, M. Tech. Bioinformatics, PhD Biotechnology from Amity University Uttar Pradesh. She is a recipient of Gold Medal from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University Navi Mumbai Maharashtra. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience in various universities. She has published more than 30 research and review papers in various journals of National and International repute. Dr. Johri has edited 3 books and written more than 30 book chapters with reputed publication houses like Springer, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Willey and many more . She has six Indian patents published out of which three patents are granted to her credit. She has received various funds like DBT CTEP, NCW and many more for conducting sensitization programs, seminars and workshops. Her current research area includes algorithm development for protein secondary structure prediction, metagenomic analysis, transcriptome analysis, microarray data analysis, genomic and proteomics studies. Dr. Mala Trivedi, Professor, Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. She is recipient of double Gold Medal from University of Allahabad during her M.Sc. 1993. She did her PhD in Plant Genetics and Breeding from Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, (CSIR-CIMAP), Lucknow. She was visiting faculty and Research associate at Institute of Cell Biology, School of Life Sciences, Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, P.R. China. She has good experience in plant transgenics. She has published more than 50 research papers in leading journals of National and international repute. Dr. Trivedi has published 3 books and several book chapters with international publishers. She has 7 Indian and 2 US patents to her credit. She is a member of many prestigious academic societies. Currently she is involved in mass multiplications of economically important plants ( medicinal & aromatic plants). She has successfully completed two international projects and is PI of DBT and MSDE funded projects and supervised 12 PhD scholars so far. Dr. Pedro López Sánchez MD, MSc, and PhD in Pharmacology. Dr. López took a three year postdoctoral position at Vanderbilt University, USA. He is a specialist in chronic degenerative illnesses, having more than 20 years studying diabetes mellitus, hypertension and pregnancy-related hypertensive disorders, in clinical and animal research. Renin-angiotensin aldosterone system has been his interest the last 15 years. Dr. López has conducted several research projects sponsored by the National Council of Science and Technology. He has published more than 60 research papers. He has patented several drug delivery systems based on nanoparticles. Dr. López has more than 25 years as senior lecturer in pharmacology lectures in National Polytechnic Institute School of Medicine. He is founder professor of the pharmacology MSc and the PhD program, coordinating both programs in 2009-2012 and 2012-2015, respectively. He is senior lecturer in molecular pharmacology in both programs. He is a member of several societies: Mexican Pharmacology Association, Mexican Society of Physiological Sciences, National Sciences Academy, American Society of Pharmacological and Experimental Therapeutics, American Physiological Society. Dr.López is regular reviewer of several reputed journals published by Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Springer Nature, Oxford University Press, PLOS, John Wiley & Sons and Spandidos.
