A la découverte des Orchidées de Rhône-Alpes – 2ème édition

This book profiles 110 species and subspecies of orchids, as well as 139 hybrids present in the Rhône-Alpes region. This region is one of the richest in France in species diversity.

After a detailed presentation of the region (historical, geographical and ecological aspects) the authors discuss the main characteristics of the biology of orchids, as well as the threats that weigh on them. Each orchid is then presented in detail in the form of a monographic sheet: detailed description, photograph, and distribution map.

More than 250,000 data were used to make the distribution maps.

This book will allow everyone, professional or amateur to become familiar with the species and their environments, to know their precise distribution or simply to appreciate the rich iconography.

Also included is a supplementary field guide which details 33 itineraries and walks associated with the book.
