A la recherche des Orchidées de Madagascar

This book covers more than 370 species of orchids from Madagascar, inventoried during expeditions organized for 20 years by the French Society of Orchidophilia . It brings together more than 750 photographs and 1,500 georeferenced observations.

Introductory chapters cover the actions of the SFO in Madagascar, the background to and difficulties incurred during the collection of data and an overview of the natural habitats visited

Each species is described in detail, with a distribution map, and a list of observations and photographs, taken in the field. Nearly 100 species are illustrated for the first time including 12 potential new species.
