A Monograph of the Genus Genlisea

This work is the first complete monograph of all twenty nine species of Genlisea – perhaps the least understood of all carnivorous plants. Also known as corkscrew plants, Genlisea produce complicated, elegant, underground leaves that act as deadly traps to capture and kill micro-organisms. Four years in the making, this study examines all aspects of the biology, taxonomy, ecology and diversity of Genlisea species for the first time. Included in this monograph are many obscure species not documented before.
