Colombia holds one of the most diverse avifaunas in the world, with a breathtaking 1875 species on the Colombian list – a stern identification challenge for all but the most seasoned of neotropical birders. This book provides the answer to the challenging identification puzzles that birders in this country are faced with. Detailed colour plates by Robin Restall focus on key field marks. Allied to the concise identification text and accurate range maps, these allow identification at a glance. From tanagers to troupials, tinamous and trumpeters to trogons and tyrannulets, this book is an essential companion for anyone visiting this amazing country.
