This is an excellent book which has wonderful photographs and easy to use summary identification charts. There are well illustrated introductory sections on the biology and conservation, taxonomy, life-cycle and behaviour of each species group.
It includes the profiles of the 16 native reptiles and amphibians that breed in Britain, Ireland and the Channel Islands plus the 5 marine turtles that visit our seas. There are profiles of 7 established non-native species and information on a further 8 with a history of release or escape. There are distribution maps based on the latest available information.
