Original blue cloth with gilt spine titles. Very crisp, clean and bright inside and out and remaining firmly bound. Attractive bookplate to the front pastedown of Dr Ian Durance Pennie (1916-2002), a Scottish physician and ornithologist and the co-founder and vice-president of the Scottish Ornithologists’ Club. The dustjacket is bumped and a little chipped around the edges with a 65mm tear to the front top edge and there is some age toning, mostly to the spine though patchily elsewhere. A lovely copy of this fairly scarce title.
