Author Biography

David Alderton's lifelong interest in birds has seen him travel to every continent to study them in a wide range of habitats. He has also been involved with birds in the conservation sphere, promoting ways in which species can be encouraged to breed in suburban gardens. As a writer, David is well known internationally for his articles and books about birds for readers of all ages. He often broadcasts on avian topics, and is a consultant to the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council, based in Washington, DC.
