This is the 4th edition of Die Kosmos-Kanarenflora. It describes the varied plant life of the Canary Islands, which encompasses a range of habitats from arid succulent bush to canary pine forests. Approximately 700 species found in the Canaries occur nowhere else in the world.
The book is in the form of a small photographic field guide and covers 640 characteristic Canary Island plants, accompanied by more than 900 photos. Information on 62 tropical timber species is also included. A simple identification key helps to classify plant families.
