This book presents the diversity of Dinosaur tracks found in Mesozoic basins in Brazil and brings it in a paleoenvironmental context. Each chapter includes information about the geology of the site, the distribution of the footprints, their diversity as well as a paleontological interpretation. The book provides information about the paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic aspects of the Mesozoic. All chapters contain a geological map, images of the footprints and dinosaur tracks and a reconstruction of the environment in which the tracks were found. Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and director of the Cultural Center for Science and Technology at UFRJ (Casa da Ciência). Researcher in the Geosciences Center at University of Coimbra (Portugal), the Brazilian National Research Council (CNPq), and the Rio de Janeiro State Scientist Program (FAPERJ). Doctor in Sciences, specialized in Paleontology, at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome (Italy). Visiting Professor of Historical Geology, Geology of Brazil and Vertebrate Paleontology at the Federal University of Paraná. Researcher of the National Council for Research (CNPq) of Brazil. Senior Associate Researcher at the Geology Department of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Associate Curator of the Museo della Scienza of Trento (Italy). Author of ichnology textbooks about South America and European ichnosites and its ichnofauna.
