Entoloma. Fungi Europaei Volume 5 is a compilation on Entolomatoid fungi in Europe, gathered in the period between 1975 and 1992. This volume contains keys, descriptions, with short notes, and illustrations of all 246 accepted taxa. A fairly large number of species is also presented in form of a coloured plate, for the largest part made by Vello Liiv, Estonia, supplemented by icones by various other mycologists.

The first part of the book is dedicated to the study of the characters used for the delimitation of taxa in Entoloma.
