Author Biography

Photographer Jonathan Irish has photographed on all seven continents. His work has appeared in National Geographic, the New York Times, BBC, CNN, Conde Nast Traveler, Smithsonian Magazine, Travel + Leisure, the Telegraph, and others. For the 2016 centennial of the National Park Service, Irish went on a yearlong assignment for National Geographic Traveler to visit and photograph all of America s national parks. With more than 1.6 million members and supporters, the National Parks Conservation Association is the voice of America s national parks, working to protect and preserve the nation s most iconic and inspirational places for present and future generations.
