Published by: Agricultural Bank of Greece
Book Condition: Very Good.
A spiral bound wall calendar, measuring 13 x 19 inches, containing an introductory page outlining the John Sibthorp 1786-87 and 1794-95 surveys of Greece, Cyprus and Asia Minor alongside the botanical artist Ferdinand Bauer, followed by 12 monthly pages each containing a glossy full-colour botanical image measuring 24.5 x 29.5cm above its title in Latin and Greek in an attractive font, followed by a relatively small calendar at the bottom of each page.
The following images are included: Cercis Siliquastrum, Cyclamen Latifolium, Cynara Horrida, Phlomis Samia, Atropa Mandragora, Iris Germanica, Arum Dioscoridis, Aloe Vulgaris, Platanus Orientalis, Nerium Oleander, Thapsia Garganica and Helleborus Officinalis.
The front cover grandly displays the title page of the 8th volume of Flora Graeca in full colour.
The corners are a little bumped, with a crease to one corner of the cover, but the images themselves remain crisp, clean and bright.
