Green cloth with gilt cover emblem and title; significant damage to spine with some loss, light wear to lightly bumped corners, sun bleaching to spine and a strip of the rear cover. Front joint cracked, front hinge tidily repaired with tape, however separation of the textblock into two between pp. Xii & xiii means the front section is nearly detached; rear hinge also cracked. Internally clean, with a little spotting throughout. Overall fair. Photos available on request. Ex-libris Lady Joanna Davy, noted plant collector and painter who was made honorary member of the BSBI in 1950; includes an interesting letter dated Sept 1941 from Joan Davy gifting the book to a friend.
