Describes the introduced wild plants belonging to the rush, sedge, lily, iris, arum and related families, but excluding grasses. Some of the plants are considered “weeds”, are difficult to identify individually, and cannot easily be distinguished from the native species. Others are garden plants that have escaped into the wild. Some “dangerous” weeds are also considered. The mode of dispersal and other ecological data for the more aggressive species are discussed.
