The island of Great Cumbrae lies just off the North Ayrshire coast in Scotland. Despite being little more than 3 miles long and less than 2 miles wide, it has a splendid range of interesting botanical habitats, and is home to more than 500 species of flowering plants and ferns.

on those present today. Details of abundance, distribution, status and habitat preferences are included.
