Second improved edition of the first photographic guide of the flowers of the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. It presents, in 96 pages and more than 275 full colour photographs, the 150 most characteristic species of the most important, known and oldest natural area of ​the Pyrenees. The photographs are complemented with accessible and clear texts, but rigorous. Each plant describes some unique characteristic, with anecdotes, medicinal or ethnobotanical uses, the reason for its scientific or popular name, etc. It also details the environment in which he lives (ecology, minimum and maximum altitude) and specify some places in the National Park where you can see. The flowers are arranged by environments: forests and bushes, clearings of forest and megaforbios, pastures, meadows, wetlands, rocky, gleras and high mountain.
It is the first guide on flowers, aimed at the public fond of nature, which is published in this National Park.

Author Jos Luis Benito Alonso holds a PhD in Biology from the University of Barcelona. He has worked for 13 years at the Pyrenean Institute of Ecology, CSIC of Jaca.
He is an independent botanist consultant specializing in studies of flora, vegetation, habitat mapping, conservation and climate change. He is also the editor of botany books and plant photographer.
