Original green cloth with gilt spine titles, rebacked with new green spine cloth with original spine reattached on top; lightly bumped and worn corners, boards a little scuffed. Internally crisp, clean and bright with only slight age-toning and almost no foxing. Complete with 6 fold-out colour maps as issued, all in near Fine condition, with the exception of the frontispiece map which has a 1 inch tear at right hand edge. The half title page includes the 1901 authorial inscription – with the compliments of the writer and thanks for valuable assistance. Overall VeryGood. Photos available on request. An attractive presentation copy, scarcely found in its original cloth.
