Lilies, Daffodils and Irises in the Basque Country and Navarre. Atlas and Guide to the Liliaceae, Amaryllidaceae, Iridaceae, and Smilacaceae Families
Spanish Language with Latin nomenclature
This abundantly illustrated book, includes the species present in the Basque Country, many of singular character, protected in some cases, and of extraordinary beauty in others, that we can find from the Atlantic coast and the Valley of the Ebro to the higher Pyrenees mountains. Each species is presented in several pages with a very complete file, with identification keys, images, original drawings, distribution maps at territorial and Iberian level, ecology and protection status.
The Atlas and Guide is completed by a presentation of the physical environment and climate, the vegetation landscape, habitats and flora of the Basque Country and Navarre, as well as a detailed exposition on the morphology and life cycles of the plants treated.
The work ends with a summary of the most common uses and a gallery of images of the main ornamental plants of these families, widely used in gardening.
