Mushrooms and Toadstools of Britain & Europe Volume 4 is the final volume in the series Mushrooms and Toadstools of Britain and Europe and is presented in the same format as the earlier volumes. Each volume covers the larger basidiomycetes, and as with the previous volumes, the author’s hand painted illustrations are a major feature of thie work. The succint well informed descriptions reflect Geoffrey Kibby’s extensive knowledge of his subject, gleaned over many years of field work. The  species drawings are accompanied by additional  drawings, spores and other distinguishing features, with occasional annotation such as indicative chemical tests. There are useful introductory pages, a glossary and index.

This 4th volume covers the families Bolbitiaceae, Inocybaceae and Entolomataceae.
