Author Biography

Reda Tomingas is an award-winning animation director and illustrator. Known by the alter ego “Animals in Dresses,” her creative work is dense with flora and fauna. The books she illustrates are mostly about nature, and the characters in her cartoons are usually animals. A decade ago, she discovered a new passion for house plants, and embarked on creating a fascinating illustrated collection of more than 200 house plants, mostly rare succulents and orchids. Constantly surrounded by like-minded people who share the same passion for plants, Tomingas began to dream of creating a documentary about plants. And as she got more and more inquiries about how to take care of house plants, she decided it’s the perfect time for a book.
