1st edition. Book Condition: Fair.
Green cloth octavo (6×9 inches) with gilt spine titles and attractive green folial endpapers; spine faded to brown and a little grubby with some delamination towards the top, corners a little bumped with some wear, several signs of earlier insect damage including to hinges which are cracked, front joint also cracked down half way from top, rear joint starting. Internally the textblock is crisp and relatively free from foxing though the pages are distinctly age-toned. Overall Fair. Photos available on request. This very scarce early Argentine Flora was written by the notable professor of botany of Silesian origin, Georg (Jorge) Hans Emmo Wolfgang Hieronymus (1846-1921).
