Mouhcine Batchi is a prominent academic figure specializing in the intricate realms of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, and human-environment interactions. Holding the esteemed position of Vice-Dean in Charge of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Ibn Tofail, Dr. Batchi plays a pivotal role in shaping academic endeavors and fostering intellectual growth within the institution. Education: Dr. Batchi completed his doctoral studies in Geography at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, Morocco, in 2014. His doctoral dissertation titled “Agro-spatial changes and risks of environmental degradation in the coastal zone of Gharb (North-Western Morocco)” showcased his profound insights into the dynamic interplay between agricultural practices and environmental sustainability. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned a Master's degree in Environmental Geography from Ibn Tofail University, where his thesis focused on the spatial estimation of water erosion utilizing GIS and remote sensing techniques. Appointments: In addition to his current role as Vice-Dean in Charge of Academic Affairs, Dr. Batchi has held several key positions within the academic sphere.
