A completely revised new edition of Rothmaler – Exkursionsflora von Deutschland. Gefäßpflanzen: Grundband (Excursion flora for German vascular plants: principal volume) This excursion or field flora has been tried and tested for decades and is constantly updated. It covers all vascular plants, now including candelabrum algae, that can be reliably identified, with useful information about their distribution, ecology and sociology.

Essentially this is the text volume that accompanies the excellent volume of illustrations, which is widely used by those interested in central European plants.

Features of the work:

  • Identification aids even for difficult groups
  • Identification key for candelabrum algae
  • Current scientific nomenclature with correct accentuation
  • Completely revised information on distribution in Germany, differentiated information on status and frequency
  • Updated data on location and sociology
  • Brief diagnoses of the total range of the species
  • Information on growth habit, biology and number of chromosomes in Germany

Together with the Atlas Volume and the Critical Supplementary Volume, this volume forms the most comprehensive current representation of German flora. For the 22nd edition, all information has been reviewed and updated, and numerous species have been added.

(A. Fleischmann, in : Berichte der Bayerischen Botanischen Gesellschaft, Jg. 92, 2022) “...
