In original advertorial blue cloth covers. Covers fairly uniformly and lightly soiled with lightly bumped and worn edges, starting to seperate from endpapers. Textblock edges lightly soiled with lightly bumped corners, but internally remains bright and clean. Free from inscription. Almost no foxing or age toning. One page has a 2 inch tear.
The main text is separated into 4 parts, with page numbering beginning at 1 with each new part: Birds; Wild Flowers of the North Wales Coast (Rhyl to Bangor and Holyhead); The Wild Flowers of Cardigan Bay (Aberystwyth to Barmouth and Pwllheli); Rushes, Grasses, Ferns, Mosses etc.
The main text is sandwiched between two large sections of fascinating adverts, including a tipped in leaflet advertising other titles in the Darlington Handbooks series. A separate blue leaflet in Very Good condition advertising the Darlington Naturalist Series is also included.
