Scarce 2 volume set with dust jackets.
Both volumes very crisp, clean and bright inside and out, including the colour plates, with the exception of a small crease to the top corner of 2 leaves of one volume and some foxing to the outside edges of the textblock (very little on the First Series, moreso on the Second). The dust jackets, complete with their pastedown floral images, have a little wear around the edges with very small chips and some age toning.
First Series: 238pp. + index; Second Series: 233pp. + index.
Overall a lovely set of this scarce edition, which is a reissue of the 1927 & 1930 1st editions under a slightly different name (previously called The Children’s Book of Wild Flowers and the Story of their Names).
