    Original green ribbed cloth boards with paper spine label; edges lightly bumped only, wear with a little loss to top of spine; a little damp damage to the cloth of the bottom of the front board; binding sound; endpapers significantly tanned. Internally crisp, clean and bright including maps; almost no foxing. Signature of C. E. Salmon to FFEP. Salmon (1872-1930) was the president of the Holmesdale Natural History Club. Upon his death his herbarium, consisting of 100k plants, was bequeathed to the British Museum.
