Very scarce. Very lightly used. Green cloth binding with gilt spine titles; in Fine condition with the exception of small marks to the rear board. Internally very crisp, clean and bright. Previous owner name to FFEP. There are summarised descriptions of 32 forest types, with maps, 7 aerial photographs, and 9 other photo- graphs showing features of vegetation structure. The influence of man and animals on forest development is discussed and there are informative appendices on the geology, soils and climate. Includes colour frontispiece map showing the broad forest pattern before the then recent extensive sawmilling.
