Boards have been previously detached, spine missing, boards have been reattached in Brown Book repair fabric, and hinges strengthened with removable conservation tape. Internally Fine; some uncut pages, exceptionally crisp, clean and bright for age: the edges of the textblock are a little age-toned but the rest of the pages remain bright and the plates are exceptionally clean and bright. Complete with plates 1-20. Overall Very Good-. Photos available on request. An exceptionally rare complete first volume in stunning condition internally, which comprises 27 articles, with numerous articles by James Edward Smith, including Remarks on the Genus Veronica and Descriptions of ten Species of Lichen, collected in the South of Europe.
