Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland

The Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI) is a scientific society for the study of flora, plant distribution and taxonomy relating to Great Britain and Ireland.  It is the largest organisation devoted to botany in the British Isles and includes both professional and amateur members.

The BSBI publishes a range of botanical books on British and Irish vascular plants. This includes the recent and popular Grassland Plants of the British and Irish Lowlands, The Hybrid Flora of the British Isles and a series of BSBI Handbooks for difficult plants.
